After a thorough assessment of the veins, our vein specialists will determine the best possible treatment for each patient. Treatments include:
The ClosureFast procedure
The ClousureFast procedure is an alternative treatment choice to conventional vein stripping surgery. We use an ultrasound to guide the closure catheter into the diseased vein through a small opening in the skin. The catheter delivers radiofrequency energy, heating the vein wall. The collagen in the wall contracts and the vein closes due to the heating effect. Blood is re-routed to healthy veins once the diseased vein is closed. Patients typically return to normal activities within a day.
VenaSeal
Non-Thermal treatment option which improves blood flow and relieves symptoms by sealing-or-closing-the diseased vein. This system delivers a small amount of a specially formulated medical adhesive into the diseased vein. The adhesive permanently seals the vein shut and blood is rerouted through nearby healthy veins.
Microfoam (Varithena)
Varithena (polidocanol injectable foam) is a FDA approved prescription medication used to treat varicose veins caused by problems with the Greater Saphenous Vein (GSV) and other related veins in the leg’s GSV system. Varithena is used to help improve symptoms related to or caused by varicose veins and the appearance of varicose veins.
Ambulatory Phlebectomy
An outpatient procedure developed by dermatologic surgeons that removes superficial veins through small, slit-like incisions in the skin.
Sclerotherapy
Sclerotherapy (Asclera) prescription medication (polidocanol injectable foam) is a compound foam used to help treat or remove spider and varicose veins, also known as reticular veins.
VeinGogh
VeinGogh is a easy way to treat cosmetically unacceptable conditions of telangiectasia and spider veins. VeinGogh delivers results using unique, proprietary Microburst Technology that delivers repetitive pulses ranging from 0.5-3 seconds (user selectable) for greater ease of use.
